Dad's desperate appeal to find daughter, 15, missing from Glasgow home

A dad has made a desperate plea to his missing daughter to come home after she disappeared from Glasgow.

Demi Sweeney has been missing overnight with Police Scotland now searching for the 15-year-old after she was last seen leaving her gran's in the Drumoyne area at about 4.30pm yesterday. She is believed to have left pals at around 7pm sparking concerns and has links to the Maryhill area.

Her dad, Tommy Sweeney, is urging for the public's help in finding her safely, the Daily Record reports.

He said: "This has never happened before it's horrible.

"I just want to tell her to come home.

"I don't care what she has been up to I just want to see that she is safe. She's about 5'4", dark hair and glasses.

"It's possible the worst feeling imaginable especially when the friend she is with tells everyone that she left Demi in town at 7pm."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "I can confirm we have a missing person report under that name and enquiries continue to trace her."
