A post on the Sefton Police Facebook page said: "Officers have today, Thursday 5th January 2023, arrested an adult male from the Ford area of Bootle on suspicion of drink drive and other motoring offences. The arrested male had been stopped by officers from South Sefton Community Policing Team having been seen driving a high-powered electric bike in the area of Ford Lane, L21.

"The male was on board the bike with his young son as a passenger at the time of being stopped. Having failed a roadside breath test the male was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, as well as other relevant motoring offences. Following the male's arrest his bike has been seized by police.
