Dad-of-two dies in hospital following Cardiff crash

A father-of-two has died in hospital over a week after his van crashed into a parked car and a house in Cardiff.

Victor Moore, 75, was driving a Toyota MPV along Blanche Street in Adamsdown on January 17 when the vehicle collided with a parked car and house.

Mr Moore was taken to the University Hospital of Wales where he passed away from his injuries on January 29.

His long-term partner, Cherry Hyde, and their two sons, Jay and Max, have paid tribute to the retired businessman, who "lived life to the full."

The couple, originally from Derbyshire, moved to Tonypandy in 2016 as a result of their sons studying at university.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "He was a retired businessman but still kept himself active and busy, he had a love of DIY. He was good with electronics and had a love of fixing things which had broken.

"His partner says that he had a great love for all types of music.

"His family said that he lived life to the full and will be sorely missed by them all."

Officers from South Wales Police is continuing to investigate the collision.

The force is urging anyone who witnessed the collision, who stopped to provide assistance or anyone who may have seen or have any dash camera footage of the vehicle prior to the collision to come forward.
