Dad-of-three named following fatal collision in Fife as police appeal continues

A man who died following a fatal road traffic collision on St Margaret Street in Dunfermline, Fife has been named by police as Steven Kennedy.

At around 9.50pm on Wednesday 19 February, a white Mercedes Benz A-Class collided with a 33-year-old man and stopped.

Emergency services attended the incident but unfortunately the man who was hit was pronounced dead at the scene.

Steven's family has released the following statement saying he was "a beloved fiancé to Katie and a devoted dad to his 3 children."

The family ask in this difficult time that their privacy be respected.

Police are still appealing for witnesses that may have been in the area at the time of the incident.

Sergeant Alastair Purvis, of Glenrothes road policing unit, said: "We are still appealing for witnesses and specifically a man on a bicycle within the area of St Margaret Street at the time of the incident and two men that Steven may have been with at the Old Inn pub."
