Dad of teen killer gushed 'that's my boy' as his son is jailed for life for horrific murder

The dad of a teenage killer gushed 'that's my boy' underneath a Facebook picture of his son in prison.

Taylor Meanley, 17, has been jailed for life for the drive-by shooting murder of gang rival Lewis Williams in Sheffield, YorkshireLive reports.

While he was on remand in prison, Meanley posted a photo of himself on Facebook with the caption: "Just a little prison photo of me."

And Meanley's father Mike Meanley was among those who commented on the picture.

He wrote: "That’s my boy and I am so proud of you stay strong f*** them all."

Meanley armed himself with a slam gun on January 11 as tensions between his group and members of the Pitsmoor Shotta Boys came to a head.

The 17-year-old was a front seat passenger in a Jaguar when he fired a shotgun cartridge at Lewis Williams.

Members of the public tried to save Lewis' life and performed CPR but he was pronounced dead at 5pm.

Meanley was jailed for life with a minimum term of 27 years for the murder.

He was also sentenced to 13 years for the firearms offence - a sentence which will run concurrently to the sentence for murder.

Judge Jeremy Richardson, the Recorder of Sheffield, told Meanley: "You led an aimless life with little hope for the future except indulging in crime

"Had an adult done as you did, the starting point would have been 30 years.

"You had this gun for some time, you knew what you were doing. I regard you as a very dangerous individual."
