Fury of dad of road rage killer Kenneth Noye victim as he's asked to meet gangster

The father of gangster Kenneth Noye’s road rage victim has revealed he was asked if he wanted to meet the murderer.

But Ken Cameron, 71, and wife Toni angrily refused the probation service offer.

Noye served 19 years for killing their son Stephen until his release in June.

Ken said: “A few years after Noye was put in jail they wrote to us and asked if we’d be interested, in principle, in meeting Noye in person.

“We were shocked as he’d never shown any remorse and had blamed Stephen for what happened.

"We told them bluntly that he could go to hell.

"I didn’t want to give him the chance to gloat and I didn’t know what I would do to him. He was evil then and he is evil now.”

Noye, now 71, knifed Ken’s 21-year-old son in front of his fiancée on the M25 near Swanley, Kent, in 1996.

The crook – who served 13 years for his role in the £26million Brink’s-Mat gold bullion robbery in 1983 – fled to Spain but was caught in 2000.

In the early 2000s, the Probation Service launched an initiative to give victims the chance to meet prisoners.

It is not known if Noye agreed to the meeting.

Ken said wife Toni, who died in 2016, could never have been in the same room as Noye: “Toni was a good woman but wanted to see him rot in hell.”

Noye was freed from Kent’s Standford Hill open prison.

Ken, who still lives in Kent, fears bumping into him.

In 1985, Noye fatally knifed an undercover cop but was acquitted of murder after pleading self-defence.
