A young dad described as the "life of the party" has been found dead on a busy road. Joey Grant, 33, has been hailed as a "good soul" by family and friends following the tragic news.
Officers were called to a report that a body of a man was found on Gateacre Park Drive in Liverpool on Tuesday, October 18, at around 11.10pm. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has since been passed to the coroner, Liverpool ECHO reports.
Tributes have since poured in for dad-of-four Joey. Family friend Natalie Muir told the ECHO: "Joey was the life and soul of every event. He was loved by everyone. He was a man who suffered with his own mental demons but he was a lovely man. He was a dad to three girls and a boy. He had been in the army and had travelled the world."
Vinny Peters posted on social media: "Joey lad was literally speaking to you not even a week ago, talking about all the gaffs years ago we all went too, the messy nights & everything in between, stomachs literally turned lad I can't even believe it. Rest in peace to a good soul!"
Nathan Bridson wrote: "RIP Joey Grant, such sad news this morning. Fly high mate many a good parties we’ve had. Gone too soon, GBNF."
Ree Tynan wrote: "Thinking of my gorgeous friend and family at such sad time. RIP Joey."
