Dad-of-five with 'beautiful smile' dies after crash between motorbike and car in Margam

The family of a "kind, caring, selfless, fun loving" father-of-five have said he will be dearly missed by the community after he died from his injuries following a crash between his motorbike and a car.

Adam James Rose was riding his silver Kawasaki motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a black Audi A3 car at 4.30pm on Tuesday, July 16.

The 47-year-old, of Porthcawl, died as a result of the injuries he sustained.

South Wales Police have said they are continuing to investigate the collision on the A48 at Margam , close to Margam Park and the roundabout for J38 of the M4.

In a statement paying tribute to Mr Rose, his family wrote: “Adam was the light of our life, a hard working grafter who sincerely adored his family.

“As he would say we were his life and his family came first.

“He touched many hearts as a kind, caring, selfless, fun loving man who will be dearly missed by the community as a whole.

“There are many words that can be used to describe the man he was and the life he lived, but one thing he will be remembered by is his beautiful smile and wicked laughter.”

What you should do if you witness an accident...

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the manner in which the vehicles were being driven just prior to the collision.

They are also looking to find dash-cam footage of the incident.
