The dad of a young Coronation Street star has spoken of his immense pride after his son received a National Television Award nomination.
Jude Riordan, who plays Sam Blakeman on the long-running soap, has been nominated in the newcomer category.
The child star from St Helens only joined the cast of the ITV show last October - and his dad has taken to social media to say he couldn't be prouder of his son's achievements.

Paul Riordan tweeted : "Well this is pretty special… Proudest dad on the universe."
Jude is competing against Rose Ayling-Ellis, who plays Frankie Lewis in EastEnders, Rhiannon Clements from Hollyoaks, Olivia D'Lima from Casualty and Emmerdale's Ethan Anderson actor Emile John.
The talented youngster posted a message online to say he has been blown away by the nomination.
He tweeted: "Just home from a morning at a rainy Weatherfield and WOWZER! Thank you to everyone who voted me to the shortlist."
Fans flooded to show their support to Jude and said he deserves to win.
Lynn said: "Voted, a must to win."
Barbara added: "Just voted for you with the greatest of pleasure - you're absolutely BRILLIANT - wishing you every success now and in the future and a have a great time at the NTAs."
Polly commented: "Wow. Brilliant Jude. Very much deserved. Sam is a breath of fresh air and a firm favourite in our house. And you sir, have a bright, bright future ahead of you."
