Dad of Cork toddler Zac Higgins hurt in hit-and-run gives update on condition

One little man who got a huge boost from Liverpool's big win on Tuesday night was Zac Higgins.

The 2-year-old is pictured here with his dad Paul all kitted out in his Liverpool gear to cheer his team on.

Dad Paul told Cork Live that Zac is flying in hospital but there has been a minor setback.

Paul told us: "Zac is improving day on day, we found out yesterday he has a fractured hip which was a blow really.

"He is up and about so just hoping it's not too much of a set back."

Zac is still a few weeks off being released from hospital but everyone's fingers are crossed that the Castle Meadows toddler will be back in the Rebel County as soon as possible.

Mum of Cork toddler, Zac Higgins, injured in hit and run prays for her 'feisty' son's miracle recovery

It is almost a month and a half now, March 25, since little Zac was struck by a car outside his house.

He has been diagnosed with a DAI brain injury but as of yet it is unclear how much that will affect him.

Local GAA team  Blackrock National Hurling Club  raised over €2,000 for Zac with a coffee morning last week to help with his recovery.
