Dad labelled a 'legend' for three hour round trip to Glasgow to give isolating son Christmas dinner

An 'incredible' dad made a three-hour round trip across the country to ensure his son had the best Christmas dinner in self-isolation.

Callum Bell and his fiancée had to isolate in Glasgow due to covid-19 rules, meaning they were unable to be with their families on Christmas Day.

However Callum's dad drove all the way from Dundee to deliver their dinner and ensure the couple ate in style.

The parcel included perfect portions of each course, drinks and even a set of instructions to ensure nothing could go wrong.

Callum told the Daily Record: "I'd initially told him not to bother because it's a three-hour drive just to drop some food off but he was having none of it.

"He genuinely always does things like this for me and others, he's a brilliant man.

"It was our first Christmas with his new granddaughter, my niece, baby Maggie, so as much as I was gutted not to spend it with her and the family I'm delighted he got to enjoy it with them.

"And his delivery made the day really special for me and my fiancé given the circumstances."

Colin Reid said: "This is amazing! What a legend your dad is.

"Hope you two still managed to have a great Christmas, all things considered."

And Nicola posted: "What a great dad! Loved the instructions!"
