Dad knifed in testicles after row with 'scallies' is forced to leave home

A dad knifed repeatedly in the testicles has been forced to leave home after the attack.

Merseyside Police confirmed no arrests have yet been made after the horrific stabbing in Kemsley Road, Dovecot , at around 6pm on April 10.

Locals said the man had been involved in an argument with "scallies" outside his home which then turned violent .

Emergency services were called to the scene and found the man with knife wounds to the back of the legs, the groin and his testicles.

Residents described the victim, who is in his 40s, as a "family man" who has a full-time job and is "not involved in gangs or drugs."

One said: "He just stood up to the local scallies, basically."

Sources who know the man said: "He has had to leave his home and he seems to be hiding from everyone. It's broken him really.

"I think he regrets standing up to them now. I think in hindsight he would have stayed in the house. He just wants to protect his family now."

The victim has refused to co-operate with detectives due to fear of reprisals from the thugs.

At the time of the incident, a statement from Merseyside Police said: "We are appealing for information following the assault of a man in Dovecot.

"At around 6pm, emergency services were called to Kemsley Road to reports of a fight in the street.

"A man in his 40s was found with serious but non life-threatening injuries to his thigh and groin and he was taken to hospital, where his condition is described as stable.

"The victim has refused to assist the police with enquiries and CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to find those responsible."
