A dad has been charged with the murder of his son after the baby boy was found in the River Irwell.
Zakari William Bennett-Eko, aged 11 months, was found in the river from an area near to a bridge on Blackburn Street in Radcliffe.
The boy's father Zak Eko has been remanded into custody and will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
The tragedy unfolded on Wednesday afternoon, with emergency services rushing to the scene.
The baby boy was retrieved from the water and taken to hospital.

But despite the best efforts of paramedics and specialist doctors, he sadly died.
Mr Eko was shortly arrested after the incident.

This morning, residents have been leaving flowers, candles and soft toys on the bridge in Blackburn Street.
One tribute reads: "RIP little man, hope you find happiness with your angel wings."
Another says: "To my beautiful grandson, we love you so much."
