A cheeky dad was caught out trying to fool his wife into thinking he was in bed when he was actually on a night out.
Damien Keegan, 42, from Dublin, Ireland, rushed back home from the pub after his wife, who was in Spain, called him and asked for proof that he was in bed.
The dad-of-four convinced his daughter to send pictures of him in bed to his wife and then went back to the pub.
However, the ruse fell apart when his daughter uploaded the pictures to Twitter .
She tweeted: "S*** my ma asked is Da in bed and he’s acc in the pub but she’s on holiday and doesn’t know.
“She asked me to take a pic of him in bed and he’s getting a taxi home to get a pic in the bed and then going back out.
“The things you’ve to do to go the pub when ur wife’s away… stinger da ye got caught after all.”
The post went viral and it was eventually spotted by her Damien's sister-in-law, according to The Sun .
Damien said: “It had gone viral all over the internet, and even got shared in Australia. The whole of Dublin was talking about it.
"My wife was going mad, but you don’t stop when you start drinking.”
The crafty father said it was the first time he had attempted such a brazen scheme.
He added that his taxi driver was so impressed with the plan that he refused to charge him a fare.
