Dad can't afford to bring fiancée and newborn home after bank account is frozen

A dad can't afford his plans with his pregnant fiancée after finding his bank account had been frozen.

Sean Evans, 24, says he was given no explanation on Tuesday as to why his access had been blocked.

The father-of-one claims his plans have now been ruined.

He told Hull Daily Mail : "This has screwed everything up. Things were just coming together for me. I thought it was a chance for a fresh start. And it’s all gone wrong.

"I feel distraught upset and confused I don’t know what to do. I suffer from anxiety and its coming back now."

Sean lives 300 miles away from his pregnant partner Allison and recently took out a £1,000 loan so she could move from Devon to live with him at a housing association property in Bransholme, Hull.

But these plans look to have now been shattered.

"I’ve missed so much of the pregnancy already. I’ve missed the first and second scan. I’ve not heard the heartbeat and the idea of not being around for the birth is absolutely heartbreaking," Sean added.

And Sean, who has a disabled five-year-old son from a previous relationship, has now turned to food banks.

The single dad added: "I’m 24 and raising my son on my own without any of my family nearby and now this. It’s hard enough trying to support my son as it is.

"It’s difficult for me but I feel really terrible.

"I shouldn’t be scrounging. I should be able to go out and work and provide for my family."

Allison is due to give birth on January 12 but Sean believes there is no chance she'll be able to move to Hull before then.
