A mum who was left in tears of anger has banned her husband from ever cutting their children's hair again after he left their daughter with a "horrendous and wonky" DIY hairdo.
Marla Hayden says her partner, Jordan Deane, had suggested giving their daughter Holly's hair a "snip" a few times in the past when it had become overgrown, but the mum warned him off the idea.
However, while Marla visited her mum, Jordan decided enough was enough and gave it a go himself, but ended up hacking off two inches of hair as he desperately attempted to straighten up Holly's wonky fringe.
When waitress Marla saw the results, she says she was forced to put on a fake smile as her two-year-old happily showed off her new look, and admits that it took her two weeks to get over her "shock and anger".

Marla pinned Holly's hair to the side for nursery during a visit from the school photographer, and only now - 10 months after the initial home haircut - has it grown back long enough for a trip to see the salon professionals.
Marla, from Sudbury, Suffolk, said: "It's 100 per cent safe to say her dad is banned from cutting her hair again. It looked awful. It was a really big mess.
"I was really upset and felt really angry he'd done it. It took me a few weeks to get over the shock of it.
"I was at my mum's at the time and he took it upon himself to cut it. He didn't tell me until he picked me up. I got in the car and Holly was in her car seat. She's rear-facing and I looked in her little mirror.
"I just saw her hair and I was really upset. I said 'what have you done?' I was crying angry silent tears in the car. I was mortified.
"I knew the school photo was coming up with her and her brother. It'd have been their first one with her while she was at the nursery at his school.
"It took a good few months to get to a decent length and I've only just been able to take her to get it neatened up again in the last couple of weeks."
The family were unable to visit the hairdressers in lockdown and as the hair started to get into Holly's eyes, dad Jordan was confident he could fix it, using kitchen scissors Marla says are usually reserved for cutting chicken.
The mum said: "He didn't think it'd bounce up. Because he'd cut it when it was wet, it didn't look right. He kept going and going. When it dried, it was the length you can see in the picture.
"It made her look really weird looking - like an alien. Like Star Trek.
"He knew he'd messed up. He even said 'let's not overthink, it's only hair. I know I've made a mistake. I'm not going to do it again'. Bless him."
Marla says she was forced to pre-warn staff at the nursery about the new look, telling them: 'Her dad's given her a haircut, it's horrendous. I've put a clip in and if it falls out, please encourage her to keep it in.'
But she says Holly was more than happy with her haircut, proudly asking people to have a look at what her dad had done, while her mum pretended to nod along in agreement.
