A father and son were appalled to visit a public toilet to discover it covered in blood and littered with used needles.
Biggs Tamblyn and his 19-month-old son were on a trip to Bideford in North Devon this week when they decided to pop into the town centre toilets.
What the Truro dad and lad found inside shocked them greatly, Devon Live reported.
"When we opened the door we were confronted by used needles and blood on the toilet - it left us in total shock and horror," Biggs said.

"My son is at that age where he's like a bull in a china shop. If he'd picked the needle up and got it stuck in him it would have been a nightmare.
"It's really upset me, Bideford is such a picturesque place."
Unable to use the men's toilet in such a state, the dad took his potty-training son to the women's bathroom next door.
Biggs added: "I did witness a large crowd of what looked like homeless people just across from the toilets who were freely drinking alcohol.
"I work hard and pay my taxes, I don't know why the police put up with the situation.
"I didn't contact anyone about it as I wasn't sure who operated the facilities."
Despite the distressing experience, Biggs managed to find a silver lining in their stay.

"Apart from that isolated incident we both enjoyed our time in Bideford," he said.
"The chippy we visited on our last night near the police station was fantastic, I've never tasted fish like that, over the moon.
"It's such a shame, Bideford is such a lovely place, but something needs to be done about those responsible."
Torridge District Council is responsible for operating the public toilets in Bideford.
