Between December 19, 2017 and April 1, 2018, they are said to have made false representations that Martin McColl had admitted liability in a county court claim and the company was liable to pay Paul Cooke £31,500.
On or about November 17, 2017 they are said to have made false representations that Paul Cooke was owed £4,792,745 by Birmingham Midshires Financial Services Limited and that the address for service of proceedings on Birmingham Midshires was Trinity Road, London, SW18 3SL.
Between January 10, 2018 and April 26, 2018, they are said to have made a series of false representations that Birmingham Midshires had admitted liability in a county court claim and the company was liable to pay Paul Cooke £4,792,745.
Judge Robert Trevor-Jones asked Sarah Griffin, representing both father and son, what the likely issues were to be in the trial.
She replied: "They both deny dishonesty."
