Dad and daughter left stunned by 'bald' message on McDonald's food receipt

A teenager and her dad were left stunned after noticing their receipt for their meal from McDonald’s contained a rather unexpected message.

Emily Timmins, 18, from Norris Green, Liverpool, and her dad Vinny, 49, had visited the drive-thru of the restaurant at Stonedale Retail Park in the city on December 22 for a fast food treat, Birmingham Live reports.

When they ordered, staff asked them to park up and come inside to collect their order as the restaurant was so busy.

But when they went inside to collect their food, Emily said they were ‘sheepishly’ asked by staff if they wanted their receipt.

Normally staff write car registration numbers on the bits of paper so they know which car to deliver to.

But this particular receipt had a different message.

Instead of the car registration the words ‘silver (bald)' was scribbled on the receipt.

Emily added: "My dad looked at the receipt and laughed. Then he looked up and said 'you cheeky bugger'. And the man just said 'they don't make my life easy do they.'"

Emily said her dad "couldn't stop laughing" about what happened afterwards.

She said: "I was crying laughing and he couldn't stop laughing either."

Still amused at what had happened, Emily shared her story Facebook along with a photo of the receipt and her and her dad together.

And the post soon went viral, with people liking and sharing it hundreds of times.

Emily said: "People have been recognising him since it happened. He went to an Everton match and the man next to him said his daughter recognised us both off Facebook.

"We still can't stop laughing now."
