Dabo Swinney made Stephen A. Smith crack up with an excellent Stephen A. impression

ESPN’s First Take made the trip to Clemson, South Carolina, for a live show on campus Friday, and Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney made an appearance ahead of the Tigers’ home game against Florida State.

The reigning national champions are a perfect 5-0 to start the year – but according to ESPN’s FPI, the Tigers aren’t necessarily a lock to make the College Football Playoff. ESPN projects Clemson to have a 65 percent chance of making the playoff, but given the Tigers’ schedule and the relative weakness of the ACC compared to other major conferences, a single slip-up could be disastrous.

Stephen A. Smith asked Swinney if he was concerned that Clemson could fall behind other teams in the Playoff ranking, even if they go undefeated. Swinney responded with one of Stephen A.’s own signature lines.

“To steal your words, ‘THAT’S BLASPHEMOUS.’

… I don’t worry two seconds. I tell my team ‘if you sit around and worry about the things you don’t control, those things control you.'”
