Spilt Milk Confirms D4vd Has Been Dropped From Line-Up Amid Police Investigation

D4vd Spilt Milk

Spilt Milk has released a statement after removing US musician D4vd from the 2025 lineup amid the ongoing investigation into the body found in a vehicle registered to his name

“Last week we removed D4vd from our website and marketing out of respect for the unfolding story,” it read.

“We can now confirm d4vd will not perform at Spilt Milk and we are working on a replacement booking which we’ll announce as soon as it’s finalised.”

D4vd — real name David Anthony Burke — was announced on the lineup of the Aussie regional touring festival back in December, but his name no longer appears on the roster of booked artists listed on Spilt Milk’s official website

While his removal suggests he won’t appear at Spilt Milk’s outings in Ballarat, Perth, Canberra and the Gold Coast later this year, D4vd is, at the time of writing, still booked for sideshows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne throughout December.

It comes after authorities in the US discovered the decomposing body of a teenage girl in the boot of a car located in an impound yard in North Hollywood. A week later, the body was identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who was reported missing last year.

Multiple news outlets reported that the vehicle, a Tesla truck, was registered in D4vd’s name, but police have not named him as a suspect or person of interest, nor have they accused him of any crime.

An unnamed representative for D4vd said he is “cooperating” with authorities during the investigation, per NBC News.

Several other details about the case have emerged, including that the car was discovered when police responded to reports of a foul odour, and that police searched the Hollywood Hills home where D4vd was living.

D4vd’s Spilt Milk appearance is one of multiple gigs dropped in the wake of the vehicle’s discovery. His upcoming performances in San Francisco and LA were also removed from the venues’ websites.

Elsewhere, the deluxe edition of D4vd’s debut album Withered did not arrive last week, despite its slated release date for Friday.

D4vd was on the original Spilt Milk lineup alongside the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Doechii, Dominic Fike and ScHoolboy Q

The touring festival kicks off in Ballarat on December 6 and wraps up in the Gold Coast on December 14.
