The start of the NFL season has been huge for accessories worn by wide receivers. We saw Odell Beckham wearing a $350,000 watch during his Browns debut. Over in Seattle, rookie receiver D.K. Metcalf went with his own unconventional style … for a mouthguard.
Metcalf was seen wearing a mouthguard that looked like a pacifier. If anyone was going to make “crybaby wide receiver” jokes in the wake of Antonio Brown’s summer, leave it to a fellow wide receiver.
That’s honestly so good.
And Metcalf, who is a large human being, had a strong start to his NFL career with 64 yards midway through the third quarter.
