D.K. Metcalf has Browns ties through his cousin Eric

With all the hubbub surrounding Ole Miss wideout D.K. Metcalf and his ridiculously impressive athletic feats at the NFL combine, it’s a good time to note he does have ties to the Cleveland Browns.

Metcalf and the popular former Browns running back are cousins. Eric Metcalf played in Cleveland from 1989-1994 and was noted for his quickness and burst as a versatile running back and return man.

D.K. Metcalf is quite a bit bigger and more dynamic of an athlete than his older cousin. His father, Terrance, was an offensive lineman for the Chicago Bears from 2002-2008. D.K. Metcalf got more of his father’s bulk but still managed to post some truly astonishing workout numbers:

There appears very little chance Metcalf will be available for the Browns at the No. 17 overall pick.
