As if Lakers fans weren’t having a rough enough time, they’ll have the chance to reopen old wounds on Friday when they welcome former Laker D’Angelo Russell and the Brooklyn Nets.
However, Russell isn’t waiting until Friday to stoke the fires of the team that prematurely traded him in exchange for a player they let walk in Brook Lopez and Kyle Kuzma. Russell is on the cover of an upcoming edition of SLAM Magazine, which he tweeted out on Wednesday afternoon.
Russell already exacted some level of revenge against his former team back in December, scoring 22 points and 13 assists to lead the Nets to a win over the Lakers.
