Step one of the plan to get D’Angelo Russell, Karl-Anthony Towns and Devin Booker all on the same team is complete.
D’Angelo Russell is a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves following a deadline-day trade from Golden State. He finally gets to play with Karl-Anthony Towns, who is one of his best friends off the court.
Let’s be honest — we all knew this was likely to happen at some point. The Warriors experiment with Russell was going to fail and he would somehow, one way or another, end up on the Timberwolves. They chased him around all summer before he went to Golden State.
Now, he’s finally with Towns and he says it’s a dream come true.
“We talked about it. We joked about it in the summer time. Anytime we’d go to dinners we’re kicking the jokes about it. But for it to come true like this…it’s a dream come true, you guys.”
Alright, now that that’s over with, let’s figure out what it’s going to take to get Devin Booker off of the Suns and in Minnesota.
