D’Andre Walker practices in front of NFL Scouts

After being unable to participate in the NFL Combine as he recovered from sports hernia surgery, former UGA linebacker D’Andre Walker worked out for NFL scouts from ten different teams on Friday at the UGA indoor facility dubbed “House of Payne.”

Walker sustained the injury in Georgia’s SEC Championship loss to Alabama and was held out of the Sugar Bowl against Texas as a result. Although he was able to participate in interviews with NFL teams during the combine, the workout Friday marked one of the first chances he had to truly show off his skills to NFL scouts.

“I was able to show I could move around, and that when it’s time for NFL spring camp, I’ll be ready to go,” Walker told a group of reporters.

Workouts like this should boost Walker’s stock as the NFL Draft quickly approaches.
