Jaroslav Silhavy has branded Scotland "simple" opponents who resort to route-one football.
The Czech Republic boss delivered his withering assessment after watching his side beat Steve Clarke’s men 2-0 at Hampden on Monday afternoon.
Patrik Schick scored both goals, the second of which was a 50-yard worldie that left David Marshall scrambling before being caught up in his own net.
Scotland head to Wembley on Friday with their Euro 2020 hopes already fading fast.
And Czech boss Silhavy has suggested England don’t have much to worry about on a technical front.
He said: “Scotland played in a simple way, long balls and tackles and it was painful for us.
“Scotland kicked long balls at us and we needed a good defensive line.
“We had to get in a good mental shape to face Scotland. We knew they would tackle and be aggressive. They did all that.
“The Scots play until the last minutes. They pushed and pressed. You need a good defence.”
Silhavy paid tribute to the skill of Schick, who netted from the halfway line.
He added: “You could see the genius of Patrik Schick. I am happy he scored like that. We know he is a genius and knows how to finish. The second goal was out of this world.
“We have not seen a goal like that from the middle of the field for a long time. He tries this in training and tried in a previous game too! These are not his last goals. He will continue like this.”
