A cyclist died after a crash with a car.
The collision close to Cropwell Butler happened on Monday afternoon.
The road remained closed for most of the day following the fatal crash while Nottinghamshire Police investigated.
A spokesman for the force, said: "Nottinghamshire Police were called just after 2.10pm to a report of a serious collision involving a car and a cyclist on Radcliffe Road between Cropwell Butler and Radcliffe on Trent.
"The cyclist died at the scene a short while later.
"Detectives are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or believes they may have dashcam footage of the incident to call Nottinghamshire Police, quoting incident number 490 of May 13."
The air ambulance was also sent to the scene.
An East Midlands Ambulance spokesman said: “We received a call at 2.06pm to an RTC (road traffic collision) at Radcliffe Road, in Nottingham.
“We sent two crewed ambulances, a fast response car, a medical first responder, a paramedic in an ambulance car and an air ambulance.”
