A cyclist was taken to hospital after a collision with a car in Old Swan this afternoon.
Emergency services attended the incident, which involved the cyclist and a black Toyota Avensis, on the junction of Prescot Road and Greenfield Road at around 2.30pm.
The cyclist was taken to hospital as a precaution and Prescot Road was closed, but has since reopened.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "At around 2.30pm today (Monday 10 January) we received a report of a collision in Old Swan.
"The collision was reported to involve a cyclist and a black Toyota Avenisis car on the junction of Prescot Road and Greenfield Road.
"Emergency services attended and the cyclist was taken to hospital to be checked over as a precaution.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision or with any information is asked to DM @merpolcc or call 101 with reference 22000021899."
