Cyclist rushed to hospital with serious injuries after collision with car on Edinburgh road

A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after a collision with a car on a Scots road.

The incident happened at 9.05am on Wednesday on Ferry Road in Edinburgh, with the 33-year-old cyclist being rushed to hospital by paramedics.

Police say her injuries are "serious".

A spokesman said: “We received report of a crash on Ferry Road in Edinburgh involving a car and a cyclist around 9.05am on Wednesday, 1 September, 2021.

"The 33-year-old female cyclist has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.

"Officers remain at the scene.”
