A cyclist has been taken to hospital with a leg injury after being brutally attacked in Glasgow.
The 20-year-old was riding is bike last night in the city centre at around 8.20pm when he was targeted.
Police are now hunting the thug who assaulted him on Sauchiehall Street last night near to the junction with Cambridge Street.
The victim required hospital treatment for his injuries as a result of the attack.
Detectives are now appealing to the public for information after launching and investigation.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and can help with ongoing enquires to establish the full circumstances.
Detective Constable Paul Campbell, of Stewart Street Police Station, said: “I would urge anyone who may have seen what happened before and after this incident to get in touch.
“In particular I am keen to speak to anyone who may have taken footage or photographs of the incident on a mobile phone or who may have dash-cam or private CCTV footage from the area around that time.
“Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3612 of Friday, 15 October, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
