Cyclist rushed to hospital in Edinburgh after hit and run as cops hunt driver

A cyclist was rushed to hospital after a hit and run incident in Edinburgh.

Cops raced to Leopold Place near the city centre after the collision at around 8.15pm on Tuesday, August 24.

It's understood a silver Toyota car was involved in a collision with a cyclist on the busy road.

The female cyclist was rushed to hospital for treatment after the incident.

Cops are now hunting the driver who failed to stop at the scene.

An investigation is underway with anyone with information being urged to come forward.
