Cyclist rushed to hospital following crash involving lorry in Dublin city centre

A woman was rushed to hospital following a crash involving a cycle and a lorry in Dublin city centre.

Emergency services were at the scene of the incident at the intersection of Tara Street and Townsend Street this afternoon.

The cyclist, a woman in her 30s, was taken to the Mater Hospital and her injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

A garda spokesman said: "No other injuries have been reported. The road has now fully reopened."

Tara Street and Townsend Street were closed off following the crash resulting in massive queues.

However, both roads have since been reopened but traffic still remains heavy in the Pearse Street area.
