Cyclist rushed to hospital after horror crash with motorbike as cops close Edinburgh road

A cyclist has been rushed to hospital following a horror crash with a motorbike in Edinburgh this evening.

Emergency services scrambled to Ferry Road in the capital after the accident happened at around 5pm on Sunday, June 13.

Ambulance crews attended and the male pedal cyclist was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

His condition is not yet known.

Ferry Road remains closed in both directions.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5pm on Sunday, 13 June, police were called to a road crash involving a pedal cyclist and a motorcyclist in Ferry Road, Edinburgh.

"Emergency services are in attendance and the male pedal cyclist has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

"Ferry Road is closed in both directions."
