Cyclist rushed to hospital after early morning collision with van near Castlemilk

A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after an early morning road collision involving a white Ford transit van.

The crash happened at Carmunnock Bypass between East Kilbride and Castlemilk on Wednesday, November 30.

About 6.50am a white Ford Transit type van and a cyclist collided on the roadway whilst travelling in the direction of Castlemilk, Glasgow. The cyclist was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Gary Mackie of East Kilbride Police Station said, “We are keen to speak to anyone who either witnessed the scene or may have dash cam footage whilst traveling at the material time.
