Cyclist rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Charing Cross

A cyclist was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in the Charing Cross area last night.

Police and ambulance crews raced to the scene of the crash, which took place on St Georges Road around 8pm.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "We received a report of a collision between a car and a cyclist on St George's Road, Glasgow, around 8pm on Tuesday, 28 April, 2020.

"The cyclist suffered minor injuries and he was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a precaution."

The incident comes just days after a female cyclist required hospital treatment after being involved in a collision with a car near Braehead.
