Cyclist robbed of bike on Glasgow train by weapon-wielding thugs

A cyclist was threatened with a weapon and forced to give up his bike while travelling on a Glasgow train in broad daylight.

The robbery happened on the Glasgow to Lanark Scotrail service around 4.30pm on Tuesday, October 26.

The victim was approached by a man and a woman and threatened by the male suspect, who brandished a weapon then forcefully took the bike.

The incident happened as the train travelled between Bellshill and Carluke.

British Transport Police have launched a hunt for the pair involved, and issued a description of the male suspect.

He is slim, around six foot and between 25 and 30 years old. His hair is described as dirty blonde, short on the sides and curly on top, and he was wearing a black jumper at the time.

Officers wish to speak to any witnesses or those with information, and you can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 385 of 26/10/21.
