Cyclist remains in hospital after suffering life threatening injuries in Fiat collision

Investigations into a crash which left a cyclist with life threatening injuries continue.

A cyclist collided with a grey Fiat 500 car in Weston Road, Long Ashton, at just before 4.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, February 17)

The road - the main route through the village - was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident and re-opened at 11.30pm.

The cycling remains in hospital.

A police spokesman said: “The road was reopened by 11.30pm.

“The injured man remains in hospital.

“The investigation continues.”

Officers have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries to trace any witnesses or properties with CCTV or smart doorbells which could help their investigation.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
