Cyclist left with potentially life-changing injury after Cardiff hit-and-run

Police are appealing for information following a collision which left a cyclist with a potentially life-changing injury.

A South Wales Police spokesman said the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision failed to stop and left the scene. They are now urging the person to come forward.

The incident occurred in System Street in Adamsdown, Cardiff, at approximately 9pm on Monday, December 6.

The cyclist was admitted to hospital with a potentially life-changing injury, the force spokesman said. The vehicle involved was possibly a dark-coloured Audi.

A statement posted on Facebook read: "Police in Cardiff are appealing for information following a collision between a car and a cyclist which occurred on System Street, Adamsdown at approximately 9pm on Monday, December 6.

"The cyclist was admitted to hospital with a potentially life-changing injury.

"The driver of the vehicle involved – possibly a dark-coloured Audi – failed to stop and left the scene. That person is urged to come forward as is anybody else who may be able to assist."
