A hit and run driver left a cyclist lying seriously injured in the road.
The cyclist – a man in his 30s – was taken to hospital with a broken hand and wrist. The driver of the unknown vehicle left the scene without stopping or providing any details, and enquiries are ongoing to find them.
It happened on Island Road towards the junction with Woolton Road, Garston, shortly before 5pm on Friday, April 8.

Roads Policing Sergeant Ian Cowell said: "To leave the scene of any accident is a serious matter, and we're keen to trace the driver and vehicle to assist our enquiries and speak to any witnesses who saw this collision.
"If you were in the area near Island Road that evening on Friday, April 8, and witnessed anything or have any CCTV or dashcam footage then please let us know. Any information you hold could be vital to assist our enquiries."
