A cyclist was knocked off their bike after a crash with a Land Rover.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Deysbrook Lane and Princess Drive, in West Derby, at 6.30pm on Thursday, after reports of a crash.
Officers put a number of road closures in place while they dealt with the incident and motorists were asked to avoid the area.
Paramedics called to the scene quickly began assessing the cyclist for injuries before they were taken to hospital.
Their condition is not yet known but it not believed that they suffered serious injuries.
The driver of a silver Land Rover stopped at the scene of the crash and is helping police with their enquiries.
Images taken at the scene show a number of emergency services vehicles including an incident response unit.
Road closures are in place on Deysbrook Lane, Croxteth Hall Lane and Princess Drive.
