Cyclist injured after being hit by a car in Co Antrim

A cyclist has been injured after being hit by a car in Co Antrim.

Police said that shortly after 12:45pm on Saturday 2 November, they received a report of the two vehicle road traffic collision on the Templepatrick Road .

Air Ambulance Crews and emergency vehicles were deployed to the scene and the cyclist was subsequently transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital.

A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said: "We received a report that a cyclist had been struck by a vehicle at around 12:40pm this afternooon.

"An Air Ambulance, emergency vehicle and doctor were dispatched to the scene.

"We have not established the extent of the cyclist's injuries at this stage and he is now being treated at the Royal Victoria Hospital."
