Cyclist in 'life-threatening condition' after crash on A37 Wells Road

A cyclist is in hospital in a life-threatening condition following a crash in south Bristol.

The collision happened on the A37 Wells Road on Friday (September 6) in Brislington.

The incident involved a dark coloured VW car and a cyclist. It happened at around 8.15pm around the Petherton Road junction on the inbound carriageway.

A male cyclist, 37, suffered serious head injuries in the crash - he was taken to hospital, where he remains.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary is now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
