Cyclist in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by van in Leeds

A cyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a van in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police were called at 5.43am today, Wednesday, to an accident on Low Road in Hunslet.

The accident involved a cyclist and a white Peugeot Partner van and the road was cordoned off while officers waited for updates from hospital.

The cyclist, a man, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries that have been confirmed as not being life threatening.

The driver stopped at the scene.

The road closure was lifted just before 9am.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or the circumstances leading up to it, particularly anyone with dashcam footage, is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit via 101 quoting log number 182 of March 3.
