A cyclist in his 20s was taken to hospital after being hit by a bus.
Merseyside Police said they were called to the junction of Bridge Street and Haydock Street in Newton-Le-Willows yesterday at 11.40am.

The North West Ambulance Service said ambulance and rapid response vehicle attended the scene after receiving a 999 call at 11.20am and stated the collision was between a bus and a cyclist - a man in his 20s - who was taken to hospital.
Today, Merseyside Police said the man was taken to hospital "as a precaution" and that he suffered a "slight" injury.
In a statement today, Merseyside Police said: "We had reports of an RTC between a bus and a male pedestrian.
"We were called to junction of Bridge Street and Haydock Street at 11.40am.

"The man has been taken to hospital as a precaution – it was recorded as a slight injury RTC, but no broken bones or head injuries."
