Cyclist found injured in Bristol street taken to hospital by ambulance

A cyclist found injured in a Bristol street was taken to hospital by ambulance this morning (Friday, August 13).

Avon and Somerset Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses in order to piece together what happened.

The man, descrived as being black and in his 40s, was found in the Colston Road area of the city.

Police said in a statement: "Were you in the Colston Road area of Bristol before 7am this morning, Friday August 13?

"We need witnesses after a cyclist was found injured in the street. The man went to hospital by ambulance.

"He is black and in his 40s and was riding a dark grey or black racing bike.

"We're keen to hear from anyone who was in the area who saw him, or who may have dashcam or other footage of what has happened."
