Cyclist fighting for life after being found seriously injured on Dundee road

A cyclist is fighting for his life after being found seriously injured on a road in Dundee.

Emergency services were called to the scene on City Road at around 2.20pm on Friday, June 4, after the 32-year-old man was found.

He was rushed to Ninewells Hospital where he is described as being in a critical condition.

The road was re-opened by police at around 4.40pm.

A police probe was launched, with officers appealing for information from anyone who may be able to assist.

Road Policing Sergeant Gordon Dickson said: "It's important that we establish exactly what happened here and so I am appealing to any pedestrians or motorists who were in the area but have not yet spoken to police to get in touch.

"If you have a dash-cam, please check back and see if there is any footage that could be useful to our investigation.

"Those with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1940 of 4 June."
