A cyclist has died after being hit by a car in a horror crash on a Scots road this afternoon.
Emergency services scrambled to the report of the accident at the Craigforth roundabout east, in Stirling, at around 2.10pm on Wednesday, September 8.
The crash was between a car and a cyclist. The male cyclist tragically died at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours to allow collision investigation work to take place.
It re-opened at around 5.45pm this evening.
Police are appealing for information following the horror incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 2.10pm on Wednesday, 8 September, to a report of a crash at the Craigforth roundabout east, Stirling, involving a car and a cyclist.
"The cyclist, a man, died at the scene.
"The road was closed to allow collision investigation work to take place. It re-opened around 5.45pm.
"Enquires are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and if anyone has any information that could help with our enquires please call us on 101, quoting incident number 1974 of Wednesday, September 8."
