Man 'had a seizure and fell into lorry' on A4

A man and a stationary skip lorry were involved in a "serious" crash on the A4 near Keynsham this morning (June 13).

Police and ambulance services were called to the scene at Pixash Roundabout at around 8.30am.

One witness said they saw "a man lying on the ground" following the collision, Somerset Live reports.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson said: “It looks at this stage like a man has had a seizure and fallen into a lorry.

British Transport Police is dealing with this incident.”

An eyewitness has described what they saw at the scene of the crash.

The incident involved a skip lorry (Paul Gillis)

They said: “I was walking back from Snapdragons’s nursery and I only saw the skip lorry, police, ambulance and a few people who had cars and helping.

"It did look bad as I saw a man lying on the ground where I would normally cross the road.

“I heard the crash as I was walking into nursery.”

Another witness said: “The lorry was stopped on the pedestrian crossing and police and paramedics were crowding around it and looking under the vehicle.

“It looked very serious. It looked like a pedestrian was involved."
