Cyclist admitted to hospital with broken leg after Woodlands crash

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a cyclist was injured in a crash near busy Charing Cross.

The incident happened on Woodlands Road, at its junction with the M8 slip road, between 6.25 and 6.40am on Thursday, October 31.

The 39-year-old male cyclist was involved in a collision with a vehicle being driven by an elderly man of Asian appearance - although Police Scotland officers have no further information on the vehicle itself.

The cyclist was later admitted to hospital and treated for a broken leg.

A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries have been ongoing since the crash took place and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward with further information.

“They are particularly keen to speak with the driver himself and a passerby who stopped to help the cyclist.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 0482 of 31 October.”
